Imagine that every single one of us could focus on praying and encouraging one person with the Gospel. How would it change you? How would it change the church? How would it impact our community and ultimately the world? What if salvation came to them because of your intercession and love? Can you imagine that?
This year Calvary is embarking on a church-wide adventure - the Summer of One! This new church-wide initiative begins with a focus and desire to see the transformative power of Christ displayed in our “ONE”. Our “ONE” can be our neighbor, our sibling, our co-worker, our family member, or anyone that you may know that needs Jesus Christ to save them.
Who is the “ONE” you have been praying for or have felt in your heart to pray for recently? Who is the “ONE” that the Holy Spirit is convicting you of at this moment while you are reading this invitation to reach out to and commit yourself to not only pray for but to invite to Calvary?
This is our opportunity to work hand-in-hand with one another and the Holy Spirit to collectively engage in the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19-20Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
It is our desire and prayer that the Lord will use us during the Summer of One to bring hope, love, and transformation to our communities and beyond!

Imagínese que cada uno de nosotros pudiera concentrarse en orar y animar a una persona con el Evangelio. ¿Cómo te cambiaría? ¿Cómo cambiaría la iglesia? ¿Cómo afectaría a nuestra comunidad y aun el mundo? ¿Que si la salvación les llegará gracias a tu intercesión y amor? ¿Puedes creerlo?
¡Este año Calvary se embarca en una aventura nueva a nivel iglesia llamado el Verano de Uno! Esta es una nueva iniciativa de la iglesia con un enfoque y deseo de ver el poder transformador de Cristo mostrado en nuestro “UNO”. Nuestro “UNO” puede ser nuestro vecino, nuestro hermano, nuestro compañero de trabajo, nuestro familiar o cualquier otra persona que conoces que necesite la salvación eterna de Jesucristo.
¿Quién es el “UNO” por quien has estado orando o por quien has sentido en tu corazón orar recientemente? ¿Quién es el “UNO” que el Espíritu Santo te está dando en este momento mientras lees esta invitación a acercarse y comprometerse no sólo a orar por él/ella, sino también a invitarlo a la iglesia?
Esta es nuestra oportunidad de trabajar mano-a-mano unos con otros y con el Espíritu Santo para participar colectivamente en la Gran Comisión. Mateo 28:19-20 Id, pues, y haced discípulos a todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, enseñándoles a guardar todas las cosas que os he mandado; y he aquí, yo estaré con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo.”
¡Es nuestro deseo y oración que el Señor nos use durante el Verano de Uno para traer esperanza, amor y transformación a nuestras comunidades y aún más allá!
